Cleaner & Expenses for Helena

Our dear friend Helena Pygott, Gap resident, loving wife of Mark and Mum of 2 young boys that go to Payne Road State School, has recently discovered she has stage 3 breast cancer and is currently undergoing the start of her chemo treatment.

She's was a founder committee member of The Gap She Shed, a member of the Payne Road State School P & C and has consequently helped with many fundraising events, school activities, Community functions from running FREE craft workshops, to painting school murals.

We also know her as 'Sandy & Wood' a local designer and artisan focused on sustainable crafts. She is passionate about transforming furniture, creating eco friendly jewellery and making items from sustainably sourced or recycled wood. Talent in abundance.

She is beautiful and humble and trying to juggle all the balls of being a wife, mum, employee, creative artisan ......whilst fighting this awful disease.

We can all imagine the shock of this news and the impact this has had on her family. She is an expat with her Mum and sister miles away in the UK, so as a community we need to support her and the family so she can focus on her treatment and make her health the number 1 priority.

We are kindly asking her community for financial support. THIS IS DIFFERENT to the Pink Ribbon Fundraiser we are hosting on Oct 15th. Those funds raised will go direct to The National Breast Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Donations MADE HERE will go direct to Helena and Mark. We would like to support them with paying for a cleaner whilst she's is going through the next 6 months of her treatment, help with the car parking fees that mount up with every weekly visit and help towards other costs that pop up.

Donations made during October will get an automatic raffle ticket as we have had some amazing prizes offered - The Raffle will be drawn on Thursday 26th October with Helena as we move towards the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Donations can still be made after that date until Nov 24th.
