We are a group of runners in Athens, Greece, participating in the classic marathon in that city on 12 November 2023 to raise awareness of the plight of suffering animals and a bit of money for the Penny Marathon.
The charity was founded in Athens and helps many strays in Greece and other countries. As a wholly volunteer-run charity, money raised through the Penny Marathon goes to where it is supposed to go -- rescuing animals.
