About
It's SCARY living without a parent. That's why @somethingwickedonkirbystreet is fundraising for Legacy this Halloween.
Who is Legacy?
Legacy supports the families of veterans who have given their lives or health.
Why does it matter?
The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) annual suicide monitoring report reveals at least 1,600 serving and ex-serving ADF members died by suicide between 1997 and 2020. Legacy support those families, as well as members who have died while in service or given their health to serving you, the Australian people.
Why do you care?
I am a fulltime serving member in the Royal Australian Navy. I am also the widow of a sailor and the mum to a little boy who prays every day for his Dad to come back. Legacy have supported us and so many courageous families we have met over the years. What they do matters so we want to give back.
What are you doing to fundraise?
We are holding a Halloween haunt on Sunday 29 October 5-7pm and Tuesday 31 October 4-8pm. We welcome trick or treaters, decor admirers and those interested in buying some horrifyingly good sweets. All profits raised will go to Legacy.
