Please Help us Start Over

My names Jessica & I'm the single mother of two, soon to be three in July. I'm raising funds to help us make our new home & rebuild our lives fully. We were given a 3 bed unit in the Alexandria area.

• We need to hire a small truck to collect our personal belongings from a couple of different locations.

• A heater or gas heater as all our walls are cement so it's starting to get very cold this time of year.

• A laptop or desktop & printer to help me with my schooling of my daughter & so I can possibly study something to gain employment in the future.

• A clothes dryer as I don't have anywhere to dry clothes or linen etc especially in bad weather which could become more difficult when the baby comes.

• A good double pram as I'll have 3 kids & we don't have a car so I need to walk or go on public transport a lot.

• Help to finish furnishing & setting up our new forever home.

• Kids & Baby items eg: clothing, shoes, furniture, toys etc.

• General living expenses like utilities, groceries, school/daycare expenses, medical expenses & travel expenses.

• And ideally I'd like to be able to do something special for the kids. But the rest of the list is my first priority.

Any help of any kind will be very much appreciated! Words couldn't describe how thankful my children & I would be. ♡

Backstory:

Three years ago I left the father of my two daughters whilst pregnant with my 2nd daughter due to bad DV. We did okay for about 18 months but unfortunately we were made homeless at the beginning of 2022. We then spent 8 months in a refuge before they exited us out of the service on 23rd November 2022.

We then found ourselves completely homeless over Christmas & into the New Year. In which time I had to 'coal bite' daily in order to pay for hotel accommodation each night. One day the homeless outreach team came and saw me and so did NEAMI. They both worked with us and thankfully housing finally came through with a house for us at the end of January 2023.

⬆️ We attended a lovely dinner hosted by Salvation Army & Nandos for Christmas ⬆️

We recieved help & support from some very generous & caring people who we wouldn't have been able to survive without. We are especially grateful for Will2Live & One Meal for helping us survive the year. The HOST team for Housing us finally, and NEAMI for helping House us & their continuing support. Along with Newtown Mission, Newton Neighbourhood Centre, Weave, Salvation Army & St Vincents.

My oldest daughter has behavioural issues & unfortunately didn't take well to starting Kindergarten this year, so I'm currently home-schooling her with the full support & help from her school who have been amazing. We are currently talking possible special needs & NDIS support.

My younger daughter is hopefully going to be starting day care soon & I'm currently 8 months pregnant with a baby boy.

I'm currently on Centrelink but unfortunately have only just been reinstated after being cut off for almost 2 months. So I have quite a bit of financial responsibilities I need to catch up on which makes making our new home and life a bit more difficult.
