Ava Costa, a 14-year-old Australian National Team Gymnast, experienced a devastating training accident on April 7th, 2023, resulting in a spinal cord injury.
Despite the severity of the injury, Ava remains a positive and inspiring young woman.
Her mental and physical strength that she demonstrates as an athlete will contribute greatly in her recovery, however, there is a long road ahead for Ava and her family, as spinal cord injuries require extensive and ongoing support.
It has been a privilege to walk with you Ava - you keep showing the world that (as Audrey Hepburn said) Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!
