Thanks for visiting my Fundraising Page for the Tasmanian Bike Collective.
The Tasmanian Bike Collective is a charity which provides alternative education and mentoring programs for young people who face additional barriers to education, work and life. We connect with them by rebuilding donated bikes with them. We then re-sell the bikes, but this income only represents a tiny portion of our funding needs.
On Saturday 24 June this year I will be taking part in the Devils Cardigan. This is a bike race in the North East of Tasmania, in the middle of winter. It will probably be wet. It will definitely be cold. The "roads" will be rough gravel and rocky mountain trails.
There are two versions of the race: one is a miserable 50km with 1100m of elevation gain. The other is a diabolical 100km with 2500m of elevation gain. I will be relieved to be crossing the finish line.
Nevertheless, I reckon it will be worth it to raise funds for this great cause! And here's the trick: if I reach my $500 fundraising goal, I'll level up from the 50km race to the 100km race!
You can sponsor me and leave a message by selecting the donate button above. Thanks for supporting my efforts in raising money for this cause!
Cheers;
Kev
Enjoy the ride, get those quads burning.
