November 2022 I left work with a sore hip and nothing more, my daughter told me to go to the Dr and I finally gave in and listened to her and went to see a Dr. After given some painkillers and booked for an ultrasound I took the painkillers and my daughter found me passed out on the floor and took me to the hospital were I was admitted for a week and a MRI was done which found METS in my right hip.
My local GP then sent me to have every scan and blood test so when I seen the right person we had all possible test done so we could just start on treatment.
I was back at the hospital a few days later with my older sister who had a feeling that things were not right. While in ED the Dr got a copy of my CT scan and it was found that I had a lump in my left breast and heard the words You have Breast Cancer at the age of 47, so it was at that time we knew I had metastatic breast cancer.
I was admitted to hospital to have Drs and surgeons come and see me to get the ball rolling for monogram, blood test, biopsy and breast surgeons.
Over the next week I had many appointments everyday and my whole family rallying beside me holding me up as I was not able to take anything in nor understand what was happening. It was confirmed I had metastatic breast cancer on the 22nd December 2022 and it was in my left breast, lymph nodes, spine, ribs, pelvis, shoulder blades, right hip and both legs.
Thanks to the amazing medical team I have been assigned to have not only made things happen but also have me on targeted therapy that has had great results and shrunk the lump in the breast and the largest spot in my lower spin has disappeared completely.
I have recently had a total right hip replacement and had a speedy recovery and now able to focus on my monthly appointments and continue on with my current treatment.
Now I have all radiation and hip replacement behind me, both very successful I will like to work towards raising $10,000 to help fund to find a cure.
I do believe I have been chosen to be part of the cure and that what I am to do.
Big Thankyou for any donations big or small
