After seeing the terrible, muddy water holes where the children have to fetch their water, Jacob (Jake) who is only 7 years old, decided that he wanted to do something about it! He said; “Mum, can we please build them a well?” ...So, that's what we are doing.
The children in the community orphanage in Jinga, Uganda are in great need of many things, but firstly, they need some clean drinking water.
Moses Menya who’s life mission is to look after these children in the orphanage and surrounding community, founded Child Care Empowerment, in which 100% of all donations that go to Moses/Child Care Empowerment are spent tending to the children’s needs, providing them with food, clothing and school fees, and in some instances, medicine. He provides photos of the outcome of every donation so that we can see the smiles on the children's faces that every dollar brings.
Moses created a budget for one drinking well, which came to approx $1900 AUD. Jake is very excited to be in charge of this larger project called: 'Jacob's Well Project' in order to build the community a well, and he asks that you please help him reach his goal of $1900 AUD to accomplish this. Every donation will help us reach our goal to provide these underprivileged children with the clean drinking water that all people deserve.
