My name is Britney. I am a 30 year old mum with two beautiful boys and I have been diagnosed with lipedema disease.
Lipedema is a chronic, progressive, incurable connective tissue disease identified by a buildup of adipose tissue in the thighs, legs and arms. Lipdedema is a common (11% of women worldwide) and under-recognized medical condition that causes severe pain, bruising, swelling, reduced mobility, joint pain, improper gait, anxiety, vein issues (I now have venous insufficiency and venous reflux)As Lipedema progresses it deforms the body, and continues even with strict eating and aggressive exercise. Unfortunately the lipedema has spread to my arms. Each day it feels like I am carrying heavy sand bags around, my legs are so painful, swollen and bruised. Sometimes I cry from the pain being so painful.
Sadly Medicare does not cover the treatment for lipedema surgery and unfortunately I can't afford to have the lipedema liposuction. I want to be able too run around with my boys and live a normal healthy life but unfortunately each day this disease has me in crippling pain.
If you could help me, I would be forever grateful ?
