Barry fought hard in his battle with Parkinson’s Disease, even though it was a battle he knew he couldn’t win.
When he was initially diagnosed, he volunteered to partake in experimental therapy and research with Deakin University. He wanted to contribute to finding a cure for Parkinson’s and improving quality of life for those affected so that other’s didn’t have to go through what he was. He was hopeful that one day there would be a cure.
Parkinson’s Victoria raises awareness and funds for services and research to improve the quality of life for 27,000 people living with Parkinson’s in Victoria.
