Kim was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma a few years ago. Mid 2021 it was agreed that the Lymphoma was at a stage where it could be aggressively treated so she underwent 6 months of intense chemotherapy and in November she was told she was in TOTAL Remission! Bring on the maintenance chemo, and the rest of her life!! Sadly Kim caught Covid19 Feb 05th 2022, and her suppressed immune system was no match for the Omicron Variant. Almost 5 weeks of fighting and Kim was told her only chance at beating Covid was Intensive care with an induced Coma to give her body a rest. Unfortunately Kim’s body grew more tired and couldn’t fight Covid. After week in the GCUH intensive care unit, Kim passed away peacefully, pain free in the loving arms of her family. If you knew Kim - you knew her heart was huge. She gave so much of her heart, and herself to so many people and she wanted desperately to give back for all the support she received from Lymphoma Australia. It is with that knowledge and spirit that we (her family) have created this fundraising page in her honour.
