Two weeks ago my family and I were woken by our neighbours at 3am because a landslide had taken out the bottom of their house. Their house only 100m from us left us feeling unsafe as our homes are situated below a massive national park cliff face. We too soon realised as we walked down to to the bottom level of our home that water was already inside and flooding the entire bottom level.
We are located in Wolsons Creek and spent two days without any support as we cared for our neighbour who suffered x2 broken legs from the landslide. It is now x2 weeks later and we are still yet to find a home, relying on temporary accommodation with x2 kids and a dog and a cat.
With both of our job incomes being affected, no home and the accelerating housing crisis we are feeling the strain to get back on our feet.
The flooding crisis is really taking a toll and we are grateful for any financial support we can get as we have yet to receive any government help and no current work income.
Wishing you all the best in rebuilding from this traumatic event. Big big love ?
