Maria Markman for KARI Foundation

Hi! My name is Maria Markman and I'm Miss Multiverse Australia 2022 National Finalist.

My goal is to raise $20,000 before 14 March 2022 for KARI Foundation, which is on a mission to work with community to create meaningful points of connection to share Aboriginal culture and achievement. KARI Foundation designs, supports and delivers programs across various focus areas for Aboriginal people and communities across Australia.

A little bit about myself:
I’m 38 years old and originally from Russia, Moscow. I arrived in Melbourne 17 years ago as an international student, and competed Bachelor and Master degrees in IT (latter with Distinction).

In business, I am a personal branding and networking expert for professionals and executives with the 14-year corporate career in IT. I am also a company director with 3 years of board experience, diversity & inclusion advocate, start-up founder & entrepreneur.

In life, I’m a wife and a mum to almost 11yo boy and Moodle Oreo.

If you ask me what I love the most, that would be to lead by example and be a role model for others, especially younger girls. I also love being inspired by ambitious and driven people.
