There’s a good reason I’m Running My Heart Out. It’s to help save someone else’s heart.
That’s right. The heart of Bernnandet– a young girl from Zambia, who was born with life-threatening heart disease. Bernnandet, like too many children from developing countries, doesn’t have access to the critical care she needs. Just to survive.
That’s where Save A Child’s Heart steps in – providing life-saving heart treatment to children just like Bernnandet.
Over 25 years, we’ve saved the lives of over 6000 children.
I will be running the Eilat Desert Marathon on 26 November 2021 to raise $25,000 in support Bernadette’s surgery and to fund other vital medical equipment and supplies.
As I run, my thoughts will be with Bernnandet, who has just made the long flight from Zambia, alongside her anxious mother.
While our journeys will begin from different sides of the world – and under very different circumstances – our paths will unite at Save A Child’s Heart. There, Bernnandet will receive her life-saving operation at the very time of my visit.
But Bernnandet and the children in our care, cannot receive life-saving treatment without your kindness. Each donation matters.
Thanks for your support.
