We are raising funds for the family to assist with funeral and other expenses in the loving memory of Peter Heinig.
Over the past few years Peter had been battling a very serious heart ailment and, whilst he had been on the mend after a long period of recuperation, he knew he would need further surgery at some point to stabilize his heart. Peter also knew that this surgery had a high degree of risk.
When last week the hospital rang unexpectedly to say a slot has opened up, Peter accepted and told his work colleagues he was neither ready or organized but had decided to go ahead.
Tragically, he did not survive the surgery.
This has come as a huge shock for his family, who were unprepared for the sudden emotional and financial burden of his passing.
Peter touched the lives of so many and was known for his generous spirit and this is our opportunity to give back to his family in their time of need.
