Dear Friends and Family, My school, Parklands Christian College has partnered with RAW Impact to run an "On County trip" with a team of students and staff in September that I am luckily a part of. This adventure will be a chance to connect with the traditional owners of our lands and to hear their stories so that through empathy, healing and connection between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples reconciliation can occur more readily. We hope that our friendship with the Murrawarri Nation will inspire the next generation to appreciate the richness of Aboriginal Culture, and appreciate it's important place in the Australian identity. During the trip our team will have the opportunity to serve the Murrawarri Nation by running a youth group program and building an outdoor kitchen in the local school that will provide a much needed facility for this community.
