Cultural Night 2021 - Supporting No Barriers Education

Cultural Night is the signature event for the Adelaide University Rotaract Club having now become South Australia’s largest youth-led multicultural festival. Established in 2017, the event celebrates ‘Unity in Diversity’ with a colourful celebration of multiculturalism featuring performances, food, language, traditions, customs, costume and music while raising funds for a local South Australian charity: No Barriers Education Foundation Inc. All profits from Cultural Night (ticket sales, donations etc.) go towards supporting the charity.

We are proud to announce our support for No Barriers Education - a not-for-profit organization established in November 2020 by a small group of individuals who are passionate to provide education to children in rural Zimbabwe.

No Barriers Education has a mission to improve access to education for children and youth in rural Zimbabwe. This is very much needed as many children in Zimbabwe do not make the transition from Primary to Secondary School. And of those who do, many drop out for a broad range of reasons: inability to pay school fees, long distances to school, teenage pregnancies and child marriages, etc.

No Barriers Education is currently supporting over 700 students/learners - in Zimbabwe they call them “learners” rather than “pupils” - enrolled from the age of 13-18 through two secondary schools in Mashonaland Central (some 300km north of Harare)
