This is my beautiful sister Caitlin and her wonderful husband Adam.
They are loving parents to two little girls - 4 month-old Fearn and 2.5 year-old Thea.
In December, weeks after giving birth, Caitlin was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer.
Now, less than two months later, Adam has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
They are both just 38 years old.
They have always been super fit and healthy.
It is utterly incomprehensible and beyond devastating for the two of them to be struck by this cruel disease at the same time.
Cait and Adam are not ones to ask for help but the gruelling nature of chemotherapy means they are unable to work.
Their bills and expenses continue to mount.
They need a lot of extra support to care for their girls.
The fundraising goal of $150,000 is necessarily large because we have a lot to do to ease the financial burden.
Our first priority is to rent a larger house (4/5 bed x 2 bath), within 10-15km of the Perth CBD, where Caitlin and Adam can stay with their daughters for the duration of their treatment.
This would allow us to set up live-in care for them and the girls. If anyone knows of any available properties that would be suitable, please get in touch.
We will also need to bring on a paid nanny to supplement care-giving from family and friends.
We ask that you share this page far and wide to your friends, family and colleagues, but just via Whatsapp, email, text message or private message for now.
We are holding off publicly sharing via Facebook and other social media platforms just for the moment, as the family is still dealing with immense shock.
My love to you and your family Frances x
