Thanks for visiting the Bee Gees fundraising page for The Gibb Challenge 2021!
Due to COVID forcing the cancellation of the 2020 Gibb Challenge, 2021 will be the Bee Gees debut in the Gibb Challenge. Our team and our Royal Flying Doctor Service fund raising goal for 2021 is the same as in 2020, and just as much needed. Thanks heaps to everyone who sponsored us in 2020 - we hope you will repeat your generosity this year. And for those who didn’t get round to sponsoring us last year, here’s your chance to make up for it!
A bit about ourselves: The Beegees are three keen cyclists of varying levels of proficiency but with a consistent level of dubious style and lack of musical and dancing ability. The aim for 2021 is to return a bit of the glamour of the Bee Gees, the Brothers Gibb, to the Gibb River Road and the 2021 Gibb Challenge.
The Bee Gees are:
Mark Hardcastle (Barry) - Fresh from sellout tours of Kazakhstan, Thailand and Karratha, keep an ear out for Marks beautiful falsetto voice as he makes his Gibb debut
Jeroen Brantjes (Maurice) - After a career in the discos of Holland, Jeroen joined Mark for a tour of Kazakhstan before reforming the group in Perth. Keep an eye out for Jeroens fancy moves as he dances on the pedals for Derby to El Q.
Danny Hackwill (Robyn) - Some may recognise the smiling face of the hirsute Danny as he makes his Gibb comeback following 4 previous rides as a member of the HAGS. More familiar with pub gigs in Karratha and Perth than sellout stadium performances, there's nothing fancy here so long as his hair doesn't get caught in his bike chain.
We all love the great outdoors and the work that the RFDS do in helping all members of the community "Staying Alive".
