We have all been touched directly or indirectly by suicide, depression or any sort of mental illness. My name is David Graden and I am an ambassador for a a men's Mental Health charity called ACFC ( a chance for change) Mental Health Matters 200 has evolved from a previous cycle called PEDAL 2 PERTH 4 PAUL , a 300km cycle over 3 days to raise awareness in men and mental health and in loving memory of Paul. Paul Strange is the brother of my partner who suicided back in 2016 after loosing his battle with depression. We decided to restructure the whole event in order to have a greater reach and generate as much support as possible with the most impact. Mental Health Matters 200 is supported by ACFC ( a chance for change) and The Human Excellence Project , both are two not for profit organisations who are making a massive impact in the mental health sector, aiding in the prevention of depression in men and to raise awareness for mental illness, while destroying the stigma across Australia through social connection and a united front, all while promoting positive mental health & wellbeing, building new relationships and community support
