The Walk for Warriors is a 250km self-sufficient journey from Sydney to Newcastle, known as The Great North Walk. It is a well signed walk, and is commonly done over multiple days... We intend on doing it within a week. That's about a marathon done every day for 1 week... with about 30kg of weight in the pack.
The walk was inspired by a love of military training from civilians who were not permitted to serve based on various factors. The fundraising component of the "stomp" (as pack marches are affectionately known as in the Defence Force) was inspired by the increased number's of Special Forces soldiers taking their own lives. These incredible humans are paying the ultimate sacrifice after having served their country at the sharpest point of the spear, and are largely being left to fight for themselves after service. It is our intention to use this walk as a means of raising awareness for our Warriors, and raise funds to help support them and their families in getting the help they need and deserve.
Funds donated to the My Cause Gift Fund will be disbursed to Commando Welfare Trust. The trustees will always disburse funds to the nominated cause, however in the case that that is not possible, the funds will be disbursed to a DGR charity at the trustees discretion.

Soldier On is about Australians coming together to show their support for serving and former-serving men and women of our Defence Force, and their families, as they transition from service to civilian life.
Wandering Warriors
We provide care, support and opportunities for Special Forces veterans and their families.
Wandering Warriors is a veteran charity organisation supporting veterans and their families through Education, Employment, Respite and Mentoring programs.
