Hello everyone,
Honestly, it's been at least 2 years that I've thought about doing something like this and it took me so long because my life experiences with most sources of help and support have left me disenchanted which shaped my incredibly stubborn independent attitude. Then I asked myself...but what do I have to lose in reality? So here it goes:
My name is Nadiah NfuZion and today, the 18th of June, I have been blessed to enter my 33rd year of life on this earth and my 2 wishes on this day are:
1) To raise funds for my US O1-Artist Visa Application
2) To raise funds for 3 personally picked organisations that support causes I am deeply care about
MY HISTORY
My mum likes to think I was already dancing in her belly when she went to see Santana live in concert when she was pregnant with me! However, my earliest memory of dance was when I was about 8 years old when my family just relocated to Malaysia and since then, dance and I have been inseparable ever since. It played a very significant role in my childhood dealing with racism, bullying and family issues. It was no doubt my saving grace. It was the bridge between my inside and outside world, essentially the only means that gave me the access and ability to express my emotions and experiences. Dance was, became and is my "meditation in motion" and my entire lifestyle.
After graduating with a degree in Marine Biology and Ecology at the end of 2009, I could no longer deny my burning desire to pursue my passion full-time. I started earning from my passion circa 2008 in Brisbane, Australia and in 2010, ran with it and I've NEVER looked back.

Performed/Competed (Top 20) on world reknown TV series So You Think You Can Dance Australia
Danced for UK theatre street show, BLAZE, Australia Tour
Danced for Kanye West Australia Tour

Founder & organiser of Open Floor Freestyle (OFF) Sessions
Taught several classes & workshops Australia-wide
Judged numerous competitions & battles

MY DREAM
In 2015, I visited NYC - the home of Hip Hop and HQ of the global Dancehall Collective DANCA FAMILY (which I am a member of). Ever since that time, it's been calling me and I've jumped at every opportunity to go back time and time again. I've met so many beautiful like minded individuals, inspiring creatives and made life long friends. On a professional level, I quickly learnt, recognized and greatly appreciate the number and variety of opportunities where I would be able to continue exploring and expanding my creative abilities. Hence, I have deeply yearned to experience life and work in the big apple over the past 5 years. Ideally, I would like to make that happen by the middle to end of 2021.
WHAT I NEED
I have missed out on some big opportunities due to the fact that I did not have papers to legally work in the US so I need an O1 Artist Visa which can take up to 1 year to process.
WHY I NEED YOUR HELP
For the most part of my life, I grew up in a household where my fathers career as a fine artist was the primary financial source that funded our lifestyle so money wasn't always available. Life as an artist is unpredictable, inconsistent and unreliable when it comes to money flow and honestly, over the years I've tried to save up for the visa but have only been met with situations where I've had to use any bit I've saved up :( . This has led me to reach out to the worldwide community for support.
THE COST
Application processing fee = US$460/AUD670
Immigration lawyer fee = US$4,000 to US$6,000/AUD5,850 to AUD8,750
1 to 3 months set up (living expenses/rent) = approx. US$2,650 to US$8,000/AUD3,900 to AUD11,680
TOTAL = US$15,000/AUD21,890
