Dear friends and family, As many of you know, my father Doug Daines passed away on 25 April. He had a short but devastatingly quick battle with Motor Nueron Disease, and only had a couple of months from diagnosis to his passing. There is NO cure for MND, and there are varied types. Thankfully, Dad had received much practical support from this MND organisation based in Victoria. A few of you have asked what to do to help our family, so this is it. Every dollar will count for research, medical help and equipment for MND patients. If you can contribute even a few dollars, this would mean a lot. Much better than flowers! Thanks in advance. Amber and family

Our condolences Amber. I heard the sad news last week. Doug was a great mentor of mine and I wouldn't have achieved what I have without his guidance. Doug will remain in our thoughts forever.

Hello Amber
My deepest sympathies at your very sad loss.
Doug was my Boss at the Victorian Planning Dept. and stayed with me for a short time. I lost contact with him when he left Melb. I just came across a lovely book on Winston Churchill with some inspiring words from Doug he gifted me on departure.
May his soul Rest In Peace.
