I have been lucky enough to be selected as a finalist in the Mr. Diamond International pageant competition held at Parliament House in Brisbane on April 17 and 18, and as part of the pageant, we get to raise funds for our chosen charity, mine being Arthritis Australia.

My mum suffered from severe osteoarthritis and unfortunately passed away due to unrelated causes just over a year ago, it breaks my heart to reflect on the difficult life she had due to the debilitating disease, rarely could she leave the house for longer than a few hours without becoming physically and emotionally exhausted due to the pain.

The disease robbed her of fulfilling experiences in life many of which could have been shared with me if she was more agile and physically adept.

As such I am seeking to raise approx $500 for the cause in wake of the pageant and hope to announce of I have reached that goal when competing in the pageant in April.

I hope you can all find a small amount to donate as it's for a great cause and with an aging population in Australia we can only do more to help those who need it the most.
