This will be the final post for our campaign to raise much needed funds for Tuberous Sclerosis Australia.
Once again, thank you to all our friends and family who have donated, supported and shared our cause, Tuberous Sclerosis (TSC). So far through your generosity we have raised $3446.00, we are very grateful, through 39 donations, thank you again. Your generosity will certainly support me and carry me through my run.
There is still time though. So if you missed my previous posts please read below.
On Sunday the 15th of September I am running a Half Marathon to raise funds for Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. Our beautiful granddaughter, Birdie was diagnosed with TSC towards the end of last year. It affects 2000 individuals in Australia and thousands more carers, families and friends who live with the impact of the disease. TSC tumours can grow on any organ of the body, commonly affecting the brain, skin, heart, lungs and kidneys. TSC can cause epilepsy, developmental delay and autism. There is no known cure, but with appropriate support most people can live fulfilling lives.
TSA supports and empowers people affected by Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) through access to the best treatment options, up to date information and support. TSC tumours affect the brain, skin, heart, lungs and kidneys often causing epilepsy, developmental delay and autism. There is no known cure.
