Cairns City Lions Injured Brothers

Our club, Cairns City Lions, has not enjoyed much success over the past few years.
On Saturday 13th of April we played our first match for season 2019, the clubs 50th year in AFL CAIRNS.
For the first time in a long time, the club is on the rise and genuinely looking at playing finals in both seniors, reserves and our new womans team and every player, coach, committee member and supporter is 100% on board.
Now, getting to the point of this fundraiser, on Saturday, said 1st match, 2 of our lads in the reserves did exactly what any coach would ask and went in, flat out, head down over the ball.
Unfortunately, they both came out worse off.
An extremely serious head clash saw both Lads knocked out momentarily.
What followed that was Ambo's turning up and literally stitching these lads heads on the the interchange bench.

So, being "country footy" and reserves, these lads play footy for the love of the game and love of the club, not for any $$$$.
The only $$$$ they receive is from working a "normal job".
Unfortunately it is difficult to go to work with your noggin split open, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I'm asking and begging for anybody and everybody to chuck in even a bit of coin to help cover the loss these lads will incur.
