In 2017, Breast Cancer affected 17,730 people in Australia. 17,586 were women and 144 were men. 48 Australians are diagnosed with Breast Cancer every day and on the 12th of October our darling sister Loretta was one of them.
While she is one of tens of thousands fighting this disease, we have seen first hand how quickly life can change. We can’t fight the cancer for her, we can’t make it go away but what we can do is raise money to help find a cure. Breast Cancer Network Australia aims to support medical research focussed on the prevention, detection, management and treatment of Breast Cancer. Loretta’s sister Renata has made a pledge to shave her head if we are able to raise $10,000!! If you have ever met Renata, or even done a sneaky Facebook stalk - you would know how vain she is and that those blonde locks are her masterpiece. Many a family function has been ruined and ended in meltdown because that one curl didn’t drop the right way! Long story short, her shaving her head is beyond a big deal!
2017 was the year that our sister married the man of her dreams, it was also the year she started the hardest fight of her life. A great person once said “surround yourself with those on the same mission as you” - join our team, get behind our girl and open your wallets to find a cure for this horrible disease!
