Wildlife & Self Sustainability Project

Hello,
My husband and I have always donated to others. At the age of 51yrs I have spent my entire adult life as a carer for our native wildlife. It has all been volunteer and everything needed has always been paid for out of my own pocket whether it be food, housing, vets, medication, the list goes on spanning about 30yrs.

Bucket lists, dreams, the eternal search for that one thing you want to achieve before you leave this life and go onto the next. Well ours is more of a NEED to be self-sustainable in our old age rather than end up completely homeless. That's why I have turned to crowdfunding in the hope that others may be able to help me this time.
But how do my husband and I give back to the universe if it allows us to make this happen? We give back by creating a wildlife sanctuary on our self-sustaining property. You see I have a life time of qualifications and experience to do this…..give the wildlife a safe haven while sustaining our own living needs at the same time! “all creatures, great and small” will have a safe haven on this property with a fully qualified and experienced human to administer health needs and raise any little orphans that need a mum until they can be released back into the wild, but with the added safety of being released on our property. All this would continue to be financed from our own savings. I have been a wildlife rescuer and carer my entire adult life. I have also worked as a zoo keeper and wildlife keeper. Both in NSW and QLD.

So...... how do we get there?
First thing we want to do is sell our unit to raise part of the funds and pay out the mortgage.
To pay out the mortgage amount, the unit needs to be renovated to ‘sale standard’.
Our goal amount is the exact amount needed ($26,380) to pay for renovations, so that then the unit can be sold.
Once the unit is sold, that money would pay out the mortgage.
The rest of the goal amount ($50,000) would be to purchase that little piece of land outright that we could live on, off grid and be totally self-sustainable.
My husband could then build our own little house for us so we have a roof over our heads.
We can also build ourselves the housing and medical facilities needed for injured wildlife.
I realise that we may never reach the total goal amount of $76,380. It is a LOT to work towards, but every little bit does help. Thank you.
