About

It was clear when Anna and Rob met in 2013, they were meant to be together.

While their love for each other has been natural and easy from the start, their life as a couple has not been without major challenges.

Rob was diagnosed in 2014 with a stage-four brain cancer called Glioblastoma Multiforme. This is a malignant cancer, which often grows fast and aggressively.

Despite his initial prognosis of less than nine months of life, Rob and Anna were determined to be positive, fight the disease and do everything they could to continue their life together as a normal couple.

They were married in May 2015 and in August the same year they welcomed into the world their gorgeous little girl Clara.

Rob has undergone a range of treatments to slow the growth of the cancer including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and Avastin, and as a last stitch attempt, Keytruda. While chemotherapy attacks cancer cells, the purpose of Avastin is to stop the tumors from growing by blocking their blood supply. Keytruda is an experimental drug for Glioblastoma designed to enable the immune system to identify cancer cells and attack them.

His Avastin and Keytruda treatment is ongoing, but Rob’s most recent MRI scans have shown that the cancer has spread and devastatingly, his oncologist has given him only weeks to live.

While we all pray and hope for a miracle or return of better health, Rob’s condition is not improving. It is difficult for him to leave home as he has low mobility, energy levels, muscular control and vision. He also battles extreme headaches.

Since Rob began treatment in 2014, he has been unable to work, despite several attempts, most recently earlier this year.

The support from Rob and Anna’s friends and family has been amazing and people ask every day what they can do to help. We have set up this fundraising page as a way for people to help ease the financial burden on Anna, Rob and Clara, so they can focus on their time together.

Any donation is accepted and we know it will be received with a huge amount of gratitude from Anna and Rob.
