Once again, Ronnie Bennett from Canberra, ACT, has been invited to represent Australia in the World Youth Scrabble Championship. We are raising funds to pay for accommodation, and two return tickets to Perth, Australia, where the competition is being held this year, October 31 to November 2.

At age 9, Ronnie is a veteran of international competition, having competed at Birmingham in 2012 at age 6, Dubai in 2013, and Colombo in 2014. In April this year Ronnie made the news in Australia when he was the youngest participant at the Australian Scrabble Championships in Melbourne.
With the support from his peers in the ACT scrabble community, expert tutoring from John Hamilton and former World Youth Champion Michael McKenna, endless encouragement from WESPA's Karen Richards, and a lot of practice, Ronnie hopes to improve his international ratings, win more games than he loses, and possibly take home an age-group trophy.
