Deception Bay Neighbourhood Centre
The Deception Bay Neighbourhood Centre (now in its 10th year) is a non-profit community organisation created to provide support for the people of Deception Bay.
We help develop the community. This is done in many ways:
We work with the community to find out what needs to be done and how best we can do it. This is done by linking groups, organisations and people to work together on many varied community issues.
We have information about local organisations, community based and government agencies that service the local area. Our trained volunteer staff is able to assist with enquiries ranging from available childcare services to where to go for assistance with housing, financial or personal issues and support.
We also support activities and events that help build a sense of community spirit and pride, so enhancing our communities ability for the development of self, family and the community as a whole.
