The “20th Man” was a newspaper column written by Les Twentyman in the early 1980’s.
In 1984, Les and Western Times owner/ editor, Ron Coleman decided to fundraise for a Christmas Party for 10 young homeless people in Sunshine, Victoria.
From this initiative the 20th Man Fund was born.
Since its inception the 20th Man Fund has provided much needed resources and programs assisting Melbourne’s homeless, disadvantaged and disconnected youth.
The 20th Man Fund is dedicated to providing counseling, education, recreation and support resources to our ‘at-risk’ youth.
Our aim is to reconnect them with their families & communities enabling them to reach their full potential and make a positive contribution to society.
