The Clifton Community Health Service (CCHS) is a unique community owned service offering a medical practice, hospital, residential age care, affordable independent living, and Home Care services for the community of Clifton and surrounds. We offer holistic care and support for all members of the community.
We have operated since 1949 when the Clifton Hospital Coop was formed, and we have operated on the current site at Norman St since 1979. unlike many rural hospitals that have transitioned over time to the delivery of age care services, CCHS has maintained its broader objective of supporting the whole community’s health and wellbeing.
While we provide excellent Residential Age Care to over fifty of our lovely residents in our beautiful facility, we also have a modern medical practice, private hospital, offer Home Care supports to people living in their own homes in the area and affordable independent living in our Vedette Villas.
The CCHS Health Precinct is a unique one stop shop providing access to all the above in addition to visiting allied health professionals and pathology services. What we have in Clifton is a serious contender for how rural communities can and should have their health, wellbeing and aging in place needs met and we know that working together we can strengthen the district and its populations health and vitality.
