We are a comprehensive child development agency, committed to partnering with the people of Papua New Guinea to improve the lives of children in need.
Working in the settlements of Port Moresby for over ten years, our programs are child focused, church affiliated, and Christ centred.
Infant & maternal care
Mothers & children, from birth to age 3
Mortality rates for mothers and babies are extremely high due to lack of health care and the prevalence of preventable diseases. So, we provide mothers with pre-natal and post-natal care, and information on disease prevention, hygiene and nutrition. New mums also receive a gift pack of essentials for her and for baby, including a mosquito net to help combat malaria.
Preschool wellbeing
Children aged 4 to 6
Children in PNG have little or no access to pre-school programs to prepare them for later education. Our registered early childhood development centre provides health care, immunisation, and nutrition, as well as social preparation for later entry to primary school.
Elementary & primary school
Children aged 7 to 12
Only 70% of boys and 50% of girls in PNG will receive any (even partial) education largely due to school fee unaffordability. So, we help bridge the gap by providing education, English literacy, daily meals, and health care for children from poorer families.
Community projects
Many structural obstacles exist within poor communities that hinder the healthy development of a child. So, we provide water tanks, sanitation systems, and electricity, which are essential for a safer and healthier environment for children.
