	Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) is a broad-based community organisation and the peak national body for prostate cancer in Australia. We are dedicated to reducing the impact of prostate cancer on Australian men, their partners, families and the wider community. 
	We do this by:

		Promoting and funding world leading, innovative research into prostate cancer</li>
	<li>
		Implementing awareness campaigns and education programs for the Australian Community, health professionals and Government</li>
	<li>
		Supporting men and their families affected by prostate cancer through evidence-based information and resources, support groups and Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses</li>
</ul>

	PCFA receives Government funding for specific projects and relies on the generosity of individuals, the community and partnerships, such as those with the Movember Foundation and Commonwealth Bank, to carry out our essential work.

Hi all, Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we hit our $1,000 fundraising goal in just one week! Thank you very much. The boys and I are on track to complete our 1,000km challenge before Christmas — that’s 11 half marathons for me — but since donations have now passed $1,620, we’ll be adding 620km (including six more half marathons) after Christmas to burn off the festive excess. And we will keep it going: for now for every extra dollar donated before Xmas, we’ll run an extra kilometre post-Christmas. Funds remain split equally between Save the Children (including support for kids in Gaza) and the Prostate Cancer Foundation, in memory of Dad/Grandad, who we lost far too young at 60. Massive thanks again to everyone who’s chipped in — donations go straight through to the charities so already helping.
