	Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care.  It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the state's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.</div>

	SCGH has an international reputation for ground-breaking medical research and is home to Nobel Laureate Professor Barry Marshall, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2005 for his groundbreaking work demonstrating that stomach ulcers are caused by bacteria and not stress.</div>

Between 2013 and 2018, our mum, Karina Stell battled both Hodgkin lymphoma and Peripheral T-Cell Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. 

Due to limited new treatment options, when Karina's cancer returned for a third time following her stem cell transplant in 2018, she was left with no further treatment options. 

It was therefore Karina’s wish, that all proceeds from the sales of her memoir, 'Life Interrupted' would go towards research for blood cancer. This is so that patients like herself, who would otherwise have reached the end of their treatment options, might have access to new, ground-breaking and life-saving treatments that were not yet available to her. 
All funds raised will go to:  

1.) Charlie’s Leukaemia and Lymphoma Fund to contribute to research that is urgently needed for newer treatments and, ultimately a cure.  

2.) Blood Cancer Research Western Australia where critical work is being done on clinical trials so that patients with limited treatment options, like Karina, can have a chance at new breakthrough treatments.
