Teen Challenge Tasmania

Teen Challenge Tasmania Inc is a Not for Profit organisation concentrating on Drug and Alcohol Prevention and Rehabilitation. We currently work with many families, individual and loved ones that have lost or are losing someone from the destruction that is the ICE epidemic.

 

We are especially passsionate about Prevention and our young generations.  Our aim is to turn many away from the top of the cliff of addiction through our Drug Prevention Projects.  

 

Through many programs including Public and School Seminars, In School Programs, Mentoring programs we reach many students, parents, teachers and community members with the realities of the drug world, bust the myths around substance use, understand the potential consequences of use and provide very real strategies including the option to "Not Even Once" try Substance and be very comfortable with that choice.

 

Teen Challenge Tasmania is part of the Global Teen CHallenge organisation that has 1200 centres in 109 countries. We supply a Faith based alternative in rehabilitation - which by definition is to return to the previous state. Drug and Alcohol use is often a "mask" to deeper lying issues such as low self-esteem, abuse, mental health issues, bullying and sadly so much more.

 

Therefore Teen Challenge aim to meet the needs of the whole person to help them be physically well, socially adjusted, mentally sound, emotionally balanced and spiritually alive. Our programs goals are to equip the individual to return to society as a responsible citizen. 

 

Teen Challenge Tasmania currently facilitate entry in existing TC programs on the mainland.  However we are very focussed right now on our first facility Home of Hope, Women and Children's centre.  

 

This centre will provide women with children, pregnant women, single women and adolescent girls with a safe place whilst we walk alongside them to help them overcome their addictions and rebuild themselves into the person and mother they were born to be, through love, honesty and faith.

 

Teen Challenge Tasmania is a benevolent organisation we do not receive government funding and operate purely on our own fundraising efforts and donations from very generous people.
