We envision a world where every child and young person is educated and empowered to effectively deal with mental health issues, and mental illness is dealt with openly and treated as a normal part of everyday life.

We believe that through communication, mental health problems can be effectively dealt with and suicide can be prevented.

zero2hero is a WA-based incorporated association with DGR status dedicated to increasing the understanding of mental health issues and the awareness of mental health services among children and young people through innovative programs, events, and education.

Our events such as zero2hero day and Camp Hero equip school-aged children and teenagers with the skills to speak up when they are struggling and the confidence to stand up and support their friends when they may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, bullying, self-harm or suicidal thoughts.

Our programs aim to unleash the heroes of today, to become the leaders of tomorrow in the campaign to promote good mental health throughout their communities.

Our 4 main programs are:

Camp Hero: 40 of WA's youth leaders between the ages of 14 - 17 attend a week long mental health leadership camp. They receive comprehensive education on topics such as mental health and illness, wellbeing, communication, self-awareness and leadership.

Hero Hightrained facilitators present to groups a larger group of students on the topics of mental health, mental illness and wellbeing.

zero2hero Day: a whole school approach to mental health and bullying. This day begins conversations around mental health and reduces barriers to help seeking.

Tough Stuff: A resilience building program aimed at primary school children.

Your donation will go towards supporting the zero2hero team in reaching over 80,000 young Western Australians each year!
