72 hours later and still no donations?

Do you have a great cause, but you have no  shares and no donations for your campaign?

You should then, re-engage with your friends and contacts and ask them to share your campaign and spread it within their own networks.

It might be worthwhile to also re-think who your crowds are - BECAUSE - How will people hear about your campaign if you can't generate reach?

WHO CAN YOU SHARE YOUR CAMPAIGN WITH?

Your campaign doesn’t just ‘go viral’ by launching a page on the mycause platform.

By sharing with-in your networks, you increase the reach of your campaign - which means more people are given an opportunity to donate and support your cause.

But first you might need to re-identify all the people you can share with. These people will have different reasons to become a donor, therefore you will need to slightly change your message to suit each 'crowd'.

Approach each crowd step-by-step. Once you have generated support from the one crowd, immediately move onto the next crowd and inform them of your project, goal and efforts.

CROWD ONE - FRIENDS AND FAMILY

Chat about your cause with people you are close to by tailoring a more personal message. Consider emailing, calling or talking in person with them for a more personal approach. They might not give much at first, but even if they can advocate your cause, your campaign will have the potential to reach a donor.

CROWD TWO – CLUBS & GROUPS

Connect with people at your gym, school, sports club or with other organisations you might be affiliated with.

CROWD THREE – SOCIAL MEDIA

Crowdfunding works by spreading through online communication channels such as social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc), so connect up your accounts to your fundraising page.

Start sharing your campaign though your social media channels with some compelling stories, images and videos.

MAKE THE FIRST DONATION

It can be encouraging for donors to see the campaign has raised some money, and that it's not stalling at $0.
