Nepal Earthquake Emergency Fund

A LOCAL fundraising drive has been organised to provide much-needed items for those hit by April’s 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal.

Best Bali Tours’ Alma Reeves, of Currambine, is raising money for the Raj Bala Treks Earthquake Fund to help cover tents, drinking water, medicine, rice, food, transportation of goods, clothes and sanitation.

She hopes to raise $15,000 on a fundraising page she created on the mycause website.

Calling for everyone to contribute what they could, she said outside assistance was desperately needed with many parts of the nation in total ruin.

“This is a small cause with modest goals but it will provide immense relief to these people,” she said.
