Dunnstown Community Fire Appeal
In January of 2020 the Dunnstown community came together to raise enough money to send two trucks carrying hay to the fire affected farms in East Gippsland. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community, 2 trucks quickly became 26.
Members of the community created a fundraising page on mycause.com.au to pay for the hay and fuel for the trucks. The campaign raised over $21,000, allowing for more trucks to join the convoy and aid the bushfire affected areas.

Mark Brasser Memorial
Mark's death came at a time when he was planning to take hay to fire affected High Country farmers and their animals in desperate need. His wife Kim, and son Aiden wanted to make his plan to help the fire affected areas a reality and created the Mark Brasser Memorial Hay Run Fundraiser, trying to raise $20,000 to send hay to those who need it.
Their community quickly got on board in memory of the much beloved Mark and donated enough funds to send a convoy of trucks carrying hay to farmers who have been affected by the recent bushfires.
The first ten trucks left to deliver the hay on the 8th of February. Mark’s family expects there will be another hey run in the near future.
