MEDIA: Fundraising for Brain Cancer Treatment

Tabina Assaad is a 20-year-old nursing student in Sydney who was abruptly diagnosed with brain stem glioma DIPG a few short months ago. Tabina has needed a brain biopsy and is on a regimen of chemotherapy and other treatments to help her fight the aggressive brain tumour.

These procedures and treatments are very costly, and Tabina’s parents, who are struggling emotionally with their daughter’s illness, are also struggling financially. A friend of theirs has created a mycause campaign to help pay for medical bills and some living costs while Tabina is in hospital. Thanks to the amazing generosity of the community, the campaign has already raised over $92,000.

You can read more of Tabina’s story at the Daily Telegraph.
