How controversial is too controversial for crowdfunding?

When young father Ben Batterham was taken into custody after a break and enter in his home, local business owner Avi Yemeni decided to raise funds for Ben's bail amount. 

Campaign creators raise funds for a wide range of issues, such as ill family members, a struggling friend or to purchase equipment for their local hospital. 

"We've helped a cattle farmer in QLD, Sally Witherspoon, raise over $40,000 to save her cattle farm," says Tania.

"Crowdfunding for causes is essentially crowdfunding for a person you care about. Whatever it is that you're doing, you're doing it for a cause."
