Mat is an engineer who spends his free time creating free 3D printed prosthetic hands and fingers for people in need. What makes this even more amazing is that Mat works completely free of charge and has even released his designs online, allowing other people to make the prosthetic limbs.
A crowdfunding campaign was launched to purchase a larger 3D printer and additional materials. Mat is now hoping to create larger prosthetics for forearms and legs, particularly for individuals in war torn areas. Mat’s story was featured on 3AW, Nine News and received media coverage overseas, resulting in over $35,000 in donations.
